This is to inform the general public that the management of the University Of Nigeria (UNN), Nsukka, has published the requirements to Study Computer Science in the University of Nigeria – Unn for all those who would like to apply for the course to be offered admission into the department of Computer Science.

The admission requirements consist of O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

The University of Nigeria was founded in 1960 in the southeast state of Enugu and is administered and controlled by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

The university does not take into account a student’s age, cultural background, or religion when determining whether to admit them, and its admissions procedure is extremely tough. This makes it feasible for there to be a varied student body.

Admission Requirements for the Department of Computer Science, UNN

O-level Subject Combination

Applicants must have five O’level passes in English language, mathematics, physics, and any two of chemistry, biology, agricultural science, or economics in order to study computer science at the University of Nigeria (UNN), Nsukka.

JAMB-UTME Subject Combination

Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB and also write them in the Unn Post Utme Screening Exam.

English, Physics and Mathematics is compulsory and any one subject below:

  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Economics
  • Geography.

UNN Department Of Computer Science Departmental Cut-Off Mark

UNN JAMB’s general Cut-Off Mark to study Computer science is 160, but the departmental cut-off Mark is always decided every academic year, for the year 2023 the Computer Science departmental Cut-Off Mark was 250 which in the subsidiary list that later came out that year, UNN also offered those with Jamb score of 250 below to 220, so if you want to study Computer science in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, you should at least study hard and score above 220 In the JAMB Examination.

 

How to Study Appropriately if you want to score high in the Jamb Examination 2024

Get your Jamb syllabus of the 4 subject combinations you will write in the Jamb exam, also study Jamb past questions, and try very hard to cover the outlined topics made available in the Jamb syllabus of this year’s Jamb Examination. Don’t try to cram but read to understand the topics very well.
