This is to inform all newly admitted students of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) that the school management has officially released the list of all documents needed for your clearance.

Below is the list of documents required for UNN first-year clearance:

• Provisional clearance
• O’level (WAEC, SSCE, NECO, and GCE) Results
• UNN Acknowledgement Slip
• UNN Admission List (where your name appeared on the list)
• UTME Result Slip (JAMB)
• UNN Post-UTME/ Screening Result Notification Slip
• Birth Certificate, Affidavit, Baptismal Card, or Age Declaration Certificate
• Admission Notification Slip
• Acceptance of offer of Admission
• Letter of Identification from Local Government of Origin.
• Student’s Profile Slip
• Original Letter of Attestation (To be addressed to the Registrar).
• Letter of Undertaking
• UNN School Fee Receipt Print out
• Jamb Admission Letter
• Passport Photographs
• Acceptance Fees Receipt Printout

Note the following:

All newly-admitted students are to take note of the following:

• You should not make a photocopies of each of the above-mentioned documents until after first verification from your faculty officer
• Get an office flat file.
• Your O’LEVEL must not be original but if you have the original one bring the photocopy of it.
• JAMB result should be original.
• For medical students, the venue for your clearance is Ekpo Ref. at UNN. For other courses, your venue is your faculty office.
• After the submission of your first file, you will be given another file with forms to fill out.

Finally, after a few days, your school registration number appears in your profile. To check it, just log in to the student portal and click on “Profile” > “Student Profile Details

Location for UNN Freshmen Clearance

The location and venue for freshmen clearance in UNN especially for Medical Students is the Ekpo Refectory, popularly known as “Ekpo Ref.”

Clearance is usually conducted at Ekpo ref within the first two weeks of resumption. The faculty office for your department will subsequently handle it.

You can always go to your department for clearance if your faculty is on the Nsukka campus.

Below are the documents required for hostel clearance at UNN:

• Hall levy or identity card receipt
• Admission slip
• Profile Update Personal Data Form
• Screening examination result slip
• JAMB admission letter
• Credentials (WAEC/NECO or statement of result)
• Testimonial (secondary)
• Birth certificate
• Admission list (print out where your name is)
• Local government letter of identification
• Letter of attestation
• School fee receipt
• Hostel allocation slip
• Hostel accommodation acceptance and undertaking form
• Bio-data (handwritten)
